We Have Grapes on the Vine

By: Peter Brehm

The vineyards available to Brehm Vineyards in 2013 have never been better (we have offered Fay’s Stag’s Leap Cab. & Rutherford Bench Cab. in years past). While the old vines of Caldwell’s Combsville vineyard keeps us coming back to Napa, the quality and value of the Sonoma Valley has earned the established vineyards of Sonoma Mountain, Moon Mountain, Carneros and Plum Ridge the foundation of red offerings. You can not do better in North America!!

I consider myself a grape explorer, and many of you share similar desires for grape exploration.  This quest has also taught us that a Cabernet from one vineyard is different (while similar) to a Cabernet from another vineyard.  The climate, soil, grower, etc all have an impact on the resulting wine. This season I would encourage you to explore the grapes, the vineyards, growers that have made a commitment to provide you with exceptional fruit. Two new vineyards are coming into our portfolio. Both of these vineyards are managed by talented, professional viticulturists: Ivy Glenn Vineyard of Sonoma Mountain and Nuns Canyon Vineyard of Moon Mountain AVA.

We have 2012 frozen grapes available listed below in our CA and IL Freezers.

The selection of Bordeaux varietals from 2012 was/are outstanding; from 2013 it gets to be the BEST, better than any winemaker could desire!

Pricing and monthly sales:

Prices of 2013 frozen grapes are f.o.b. California, or Portland, OR. freezers. Estimates of shipping to Chicago will be provided, but rates fluctuate beyond prediction.

Prices of past vintages increase due to storage charges. The prices listed are for PICK-UP by August 31.

Pick-up in September will cost $10.00/pail  more, pick-up by December 31st cost $30.00 per pail  more than the August price.

Monthly Sales are prompted when a pail or two are all that remain in a lot / freezer.  There are minimum charges no matter the number of pails in the lot. Few pails = high rent. We want to give you the money, not the freezer.

Final Pricing to come soon,

Brehm Vineyards
